Instruments with Japanese roots and a Polish soul!
Based on over a decade of experience in the renovation and servicing of guitars, we have gathered all our knowledge and created an original line of instruments that embody the authentic character of vintage guitars.
We use only high-quality wood to produce our instruments. We utilize classic combinations – bodies are made of alder or ash, and necks from maple and rosewood. The blanks we receive are roughly cut and routed, which we then carefully sand and shape – every curve is finished by hand – because we pride ourselves on attention to the smallest details and are committed to the unique character of each guitar or bass from our stable.
We finish our bodies using a method developed over the years – after processing and contouring the wood, we apply a thin but hard layer of sealer, which is followed by a nitro lacquer. The thickness of each layer can be adjusted to “regulate” the frequency range the guitar will play; for example, a slightly thicker sealer will make the instrument a bit heavier and gain in the lower frequency range, with the “bell” appearing a bit lower.
We individually match the best neck to complement each body – from the most classic styles to necks adorned with dark or light binding, pearly markers, hand-stained necks, or even headstocks finished to match the body color. Our necks are also finished in honey-amber nitro and aged.
The hardware we use in our instruments are high-quality components that we have tested multiple times. For instance, in basses, we use Japanese Gotoh tuners due to their weight (as heavy tuners alter the resonance of the instrument in the lower frequencies), and a wide range of bridges: from classic Gotohs with a slightly nasal character, to Omega or Badass bridges providing a noble top and piano-like sound while maintaining a vintage character. In guitars, we install bridges with brass or steel saddles, depending on the desired level of “glassiness” in the sound.
Pickups have a huge impact on the guitar’s sound – after all, they are the first in the chain of components transmitting the signal! Therefore, we install a variety of pickups in our instruments – from dark and fat to very bright; from dynamic to very compressed. We connect them to high-quality electronics – we use CTS pots, CRL switches, Puretone jacks, and Gavitt wires in cotton braid. All our Buzzy instruments are also shielded with copper to minimize external interference and deliver only the best sound to the amplifier.
