A classic Japanese Precision Bass from the 1980s — a Fernandes from the era when Japanese builders were making Fender-style instruments so good that the Americans probably had to look over their shoulders from time to time.
This bass has a great classic look: natural honey finish, visible ash grain, black pickguard, one-piece maple neck and large vintage-style tuners. Simple, honest and full of character — no gimmicks, no glitter, no unnecessary tricks. Just an old Japanese P-Bass that knows exactly what it is supposed to do.
The body is ash, the neck is one-piece maple. It features a classic Precision-style Alnico pickup, vintage-style bridge and large open-gear tuners. The electronics are exactly what they should be on a Precision Bass: volume, tone and jack. Two knobs, no philosophy, maximum sense.
Sound-wise, it is tight, clear and very usable. You get a solid low end, a strong midrange that sits well in a mix, and a fast attack from the ash body and maple neck combination. It does not sound muddy, and it does not try to be a modern do-it-all machine. It does what a good Precision should do — and it does it very well. This is the kind of bass that does not need a long speech after plugging in. It simply sounds like a bass.

Yamahas from the ’80s are some of the best-crafted guitars ever produced in Japan. I always mention this when listing these instruments, and I know what I’m talking about — quite a few have passed through our hands over the years.
Everything is honestly and precisely put together: the fretwork is clean and well-executed, the wood quality is excellent, and the hardware is top-tier.

A beautiful and highly characterful Jazz Bass by Greco, made in Japan in the 1980s. It features a subtle, thin sunburst finish in classic 1970s styling, paired with a maple neck that has black binding and rectangular inlays – giving the instrument a very authentic vintage look.
One of the real highlights is the genuine vintage celluloid Tortoise Shell pickguard. This is not a modern printed graphic — it’s real, thick celluloid material from the period.
The body is made of Sen wood (Japanese ash), a dense and highly resonant tonewood known for its excellent sustain and ringing tone. The maple neck has a comfortable C-shaped profile with a 7.25” radius and Medium Jumbo frets. On the headstock you’ll find reliable Gotoh GB-10 tuners and a bone nut.
The pickups are a solid vintage-style design with Alnico magnets. Electronics are passive with the classic 2× Volume + Tone configuration. A true classic Japanese Jazz Bass from the 1980s — it plays and looks exactly as it should.

Today on the menu: a true old-timer — a 37-year-old Fender Jazz Bass, Japanese reissue of the legendary 1962 model. A proper classic: a slim, narrow neck with a beautiful amber tint and a traditional 3-Tone Sunburst finish on the body. This is a higher-spec model, equipped with large vintage-style tuners and Alnico pickups.
The neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard, while the body is made of basswood, making the instrument fairly lightweight and very comfortable to play. The nut is made of bone, the bridge is classic vintage-style, and the electronics are passive in the classic 2 × Volume + Tone layout.
The bass has undergone our full professional service and is in excellent technical condition — it has low action, stays in tune beautifully, and delivers a powerful, full-range tone.
Visually, it presents very well. It shows normal signs of use appropriate for its age, but nothing that affects playing comfort.
