Fender Jazz Bass w absolutnie przepięknym kolorze! Mamy tutaj Lake Placid Blue – czyli niebieskie Candy. Jest to lakier 3 warstwowy – pod spodem grube, pstrzące się, srebrne ziarno, na to transparentny niebieski lakier Candy i dopiero lakier bezbarwny – dzięki temu kolor jest mega intensywny i pracuje ze światłem: pod jednym kątem zdaje się być ciemny, niemalże granatowy, a pod innym – prawie wpada w turkus.

Technikalia: olchowe body, klonowy gryf i palisandrowa podstrunnica, w pełni oryginalny osprzęt i pikapy Gotoha. Gryf jest super – bo fajnie pożółkł i nie wygląda tak blado jak na innych standardach, a jednak dalej jest w fajniej śliskiej dla łapy satynie!

I tak jak z samochodami – wydaje się że ’93 rocznik to takie 15 letnie auto (przynajmniej ja tak mam) a tu kurde już 30 lat minęło, także wiosło w pełni zasługuje na miano vintage’owego – mimo, że absolutnie na takie nie wygląda! Gitara jest naprawdę w świetnym stanie wizualnym i chyba jeszcze lepszym stanie technicznym po naszym serwisie. Normalnie prawie taki NOS (new old stock).

Brzmieniowo wszystko się zgadza – nie ma tu niespodzianek ani zaskoczeń – solidny rasowy jazz bass.

A Fender Jazz Bass in an absolutely amazing color! Namely: Lake Placid Blue – which is a blue Candy. It’s a 3-layer finish – first, a thick, shimmering silver grain, then a blue Candy, topped with a transparent finish – which makes the color that vibrant and reflective; from certain angles, the finish looks dark, almost navy blue, and from others – almost looks turquoise.

Technicals: alder body, maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard, with fully original hardware and pickups by Gotoh. The neck is awesome – because it nicely yellowed over time and doesn’t look as pale as in other models, and yet is still a slippery satin finish!

As it is with the cars – it seems that the stuff made ’93 is around 15 years old (I feel that way), but then you realize it’s been over 30 years and it defnitely deserves a “vintage” label – even though it doesn’t look like it! The guitar is in a really good visual shape, and arguably in even better technical condition after our restoration. Almost feels like a NOS (New Old Stock).

Soundwise everything checks out – no surprises here – a solid pure jazz bass.
