Buzz Dragonfly 5 to pięciostrunowy bas z naszej manufaktury Restauracja Gitar, zbudowany z konkretnym założeniem: oldschoolowy charakter, klasyczna pasywna reakcja pod palcami i jednocześnie pełnoprawna, czytelna struna B.
Instrument jest zawodowo przygotowany do grania — ustawiony bardzo miękko, wygodnie i nisko, bez walki z gryfem i bez wrażenia, że piąta struna jest tylko dodatkiem „na papierze”. To bas, który ma vintage’owy klimat, ale zachowuje się jak dopracowany, współczesny instrument sceniczny.
Założeniem tego modelu było zbliżenie się brzmieniowo do basów z lat 70., ale z mocną, stabilną i sprężystą struną B. Dlatego mostek Omega Bass jest tutaj elementem kluczowym — pomaga utrzymać konkretny dół, szybki atak i lepszą definicję najniższej struny.
Do tego dochodzą pickupy Lindy Fralin, które świetnie oddają vintage’owy charakter: ciepły, drewniany, lekko chropowaty środek, dużo klasycznego basowego „mięsa”, ale bez zamulenia. Brzmienie jest oldschoolowe, pasywne i naturalne, ale nadal bardzo czytelne w pięciostrunowym układzie.
Konstrukcyjnie jest tu sama klasyka: korpus z olchy, klonowy gryf, palisandrowa podstrunnica, promień 9,5”, progi medium jumbo, kościane siodełko, klucze Gotoh GB-10, pasywna elektronika i vintage’owy pręt regulacyjny. Ten ostatni też nie jest przypadkiem — jednostronny truss rod daje bardziej sprężystą, organiczną reakcję gryfu niż nowoczesne pręty dwustronne, co fajnie wspiera cały oldschoolowy charakter instrumentu.
Wykończenie to zielony metallic relic z tortoise pickguardem i postarzaną estetyką. Bas wygląda jak stary, mocno ograny instrument z historią, ale gra jak świeżo dopracowany, zawodowy sprzęt zrobiony pod konkretne założenie.

To bas dla kogoś, kto chce klimatu starych instrumentów, ale bez kompromisu na strunie B. Vintage’owy charakter, pasywna prostota, świetne pickupy i bardzo wygodne ustawienie — czyli oldschool, ale nie muzeum.
Buzz Dragonfly 5 is a five-string bass built in our own workshop, Restauracja Gitar, with a very clear idea behind it: old-school character, classic passive response under the fingers, and a proper, clear and fully usable low B string.
The instrument has been professionally prepared for playing — set up very comfortably, softly and low, without fighting the neck and without that feeling that the fifth string is only there “on paper”. It has a vintage-inspired character, but behaves like a well-refined modern stage instrument.
The goal with this model was to get close to the sound and feel of classic 1970s-style basses, but with a strong, stable and responsive low B. That is why the Omega Bass bridge is such an important part of this build — it helps keep the low end solid, the attack quick and the lowest string much better defined.
The pickups are Lindy Fralin, chosen specifically for their ability to capture a vintage character beautifully. They deliver warmth, woodiness, a slightly gritty midrange and plenty of classic bass tone, but without becoming muddy. The sound is old-school, passive and natural, while still remaining clear in a five-string setup.
The construction is all about classic ingredients: alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 9.5” radius, medium jumbo frets, bone nut, Gotoh GB-10 tuners, passive electronics and a vintage-style truss rod. The latter is also intentional — a single-action truss rod gives the neck a more elastic, organic response than many modern double-action rods, which works very well with the whole old-school concept of this bass.
The finish is a metallic green relic with a tortoise pickguard and aged aesthetics. It looks like an old, heavily played instrument with history, but plays like a freshly refined, professional bass built with a clear purpose.
