Buzz Dragonfly to skuteczna piątka ze znakomitą struną B. Jako jedna z niewielu piątek, zachowuje klimat vintage’owego brzmienia dzięki zastosowaniu tradycyjnych rozwiązań, takich jak lakier nitro, pasywna elektronika, znakomite single Lindy Fralin oraz klasyczna konstrukcja bez żadnych udziwnień w postaci grafitowych wzmocnień gryfu, dwustronnego pręta, super odchudzonego gryfu czy ultra lekkich kluczy. Osprzęt jest klasyczny i toporny, a gitara waży 4,5 kg, ale nie ma tu żadnych kompromisów.
Korpus wykonany jest z olchy, a gryf to klon z palisandrową podstrunnicą o promieniu 7,25” (na nabiegunnikach również jest radius dla zachowania równej głośności strun), profil to C, a progi to medium jumbo. Na główce znajdują się klucze Gotoh GB-10 i siodełko wykonane z kości. Mostek w basie pięciostrunowym to bezwzględnie Omega – ona daje ten fortepianowy sound. Elektronika oczywiście jest wyekranowana na potencjometrach CTS i przewodach Gavitt + gniazdo Puretone Jack.

The Buzz Dragonfly is an effective five-string with an excellent B string. As one of the few five-strings, it maintains the vintage tone thanks to traditional solutions like nitro lacquer, passive electronics, excellent Lindy Fralin single coils, and a classic construction without any gimmicks like graphite neck reinforcement, dual-action truss rod, super light neck, or ultra-light tuners. The hardware is classic and heavy, with the guitar weighing 4.5 kg, but there are no compromises here.
The body is made of ash, and the neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25” radius (the pole pieces also have a radius to maintain even string volume), the profile is C, and the frets are medium jumbo. On the headstock, you’ll find Gotoh GB-10 tuners and a bone nut. The bridge on this five-string bass is undoubtedly the Omega – it delivers that piano-like sound. The electronics are, of course, shielded with CTS pots and Gavitt wiring + a Puretone Jack socket.
