Korpus wykonany z olchy, wykończenie w klasycznym, vintage’owym sunburście, lakier nitro, całość gustownie postarzana. Nie jest to plastikowy „relic z fabryki naklejek”, tylko mocny, sceniczny wygląd w stylu instrumentu, który nie boi się grania. Gitara wizualnie ma sporo charakteru, ale technicznie jest to nowy instrument, przygotowany od zera.
Na pokładzie siedzą Seymour Duncan Hot Jazzmaster — mocniejsze, pełniejsze single w jazzmasterowym formacie. Dają dużo środka, fajny dół i bardziej konkretny sygnał niż klasyczne, grzeczne przystawki. Do tego pasywna elektronika w klasycznym układzie, więc bez baterii, bez kombinowania i bez filozofii rodem z panelu sterowania elektrowni.

Gitara została u nas profesjonalnie przygotowana do grania. Progi są bardzo ładnie obrobione, instrument jest miękko ustawiony i gotowy do normalnego grania od razu po wyjęciu z futerału/kartonu. To nie jest przypadkowa gitara z OLX opisana w samych superlatywach, która po przyjeździe okazuje się rozczarowaniem. For sale is a Buzz Grasshopper Bass VI — our own build, a six-string bass/guitar hybrid that looks familiar at first glance, but very quickly proves that it is neither a regular guitar nor a standard bass.
This instrument sits somewhere between the bass and guitar world and is tuned EADGBE, just like a guitar, but one octave lower. It is currently strung with an Ernie Ball .095 set. And that is the important part: a Bass VI should not really be treated as a regular guitar or as a classic bass. It is its own thing. You need to find your own language on it — part baritone, part bass, part soundtrack machine, part surf, part ambient, part dirty wall of sound. If you are looking for inspiration and like instruments that make you play differently, this is exactly that kind of tool.
The body is made of alder, finished in a classic vintage-style sunburst, with a nitro finish and tasteful relic work. It is not a cheap-looking artificial relic job — it has a strong, roadworn character and looks like an instrument made to be played. Visually it has plenty of attitude, but technically this is a new instrument, built and prepared from the ground up.
It is loaded with Seymour Duncan Hot Jazzmaster pickups — hotter and fuller than traditional vintage-style Jazzmaster pickups. They deliver a stronger signal, plenty of midrange, a solid low end and a more direct response. The electronics are passive and kept in a classic layout, so no batteries, no unnecessary complications and no spaceship control panel.
The bridge and tremolo system follow the classic offset formula, with a tremolo unit that can be locked. A Buzz Stop Bar is also installed, which is basically a must here — with a Bass VI, string angle, tension and stability matter a lot. The headstock is fitted with Gotoh sealed tuners, the nut is made of bone, and the truss rod is adjustable from the headstock side.
The neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard, C-shaped profile, 10” radius, and 1 11/16” nut width. Neck thickness is 0.88” at the 1st fret and 0.95” at the 12th fret. It has 24 medium 6150 frets. The neck feels comfortable, substantial enough, but not bulky.
The instrument has been professionally prepared for playing in our workshop. The frets are very nicely finished, the setup is smooth and comfortable, and the guitar is ready to play straight away. This is not a random online listing described in superlatives that turns out to be a disappointment when it arrives. This is an instrument prepared by a company with many years of experience, its own workshop and excellent customer reviews.
